The E-magiciens / European Meetings of the Young Digital Creation, directed by Marie-Anne Fontenier and organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Valenciennes region is the European festival dedicated to the students, teachers and professionals of the digital creation area. Three days placed under the sign of meetings, exchanges, projections, testimonys, experiments.

Round tables, conferences, animated by professionals, artists, technicians of digital field.
Short-films and interactive works of the students are presented during all the manisfestation. Some of these works will be awarded or encouraged.
The students authors are there to support their work. In this way, they are able to meet experienced artists, whose works are also screened or exhibited at their sides.
The LAB exhibition offers a space of discovery and experimentation to the developers and creators of new tools related to digital area.
During three days, the students activate themselves in the rooms and the passageways of the huge Le Phenix theatre .
Chained Animation, “exquisite corpse” produced by 13 teams of European students.
On the spot, the students begin to work the day before the opening of the festival. They have 3 days to carry out a 10-second digital animation, with an imposed image chosen by the guest artist, at the beginning and at the end of the production.
The festival organizers put at their disposal some computers equipped with software (2D, 3D, compositing, editing...) at Le Phenix theatre.
The last day, the team of the festival edits end to end the 12 sound animations and credits.
Each team and composer will present his work on Friday morning.
The public and the participants will discover the global work, end to end during the closing party.
The Web jam, collective work made up by 7 teams of 3 students specialized in multimedia, at Le Phenix theatre. Each team is composed of a graphic designer, a data-processing programmer and a musician. In 3 days, each team produce an interactive work on a topic revealed on the spot, the 1st day of the demonstration (in collaboration with Les Gobelins, the school of the image).
The “Box of Tricks” (TV set with real-time superimposition), prepared by Laurent DESOMBRE and the students of the Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis University.
